The Truth About Clinical Studies

I would highly recommend the book Tarnished Gold: The Sickness Of Evidence Based Medicine by  Steve Hickey PhD . This book takes apart the notion that clinical studies as done by pharmaceutical companies are the gold standard of testing. From the history of how they were developed by attorneys to offer legal protection to pharmaceutical companies to how you never see drugs against each other...only placebo( or nothing...it is better than doing nothing). It totally changed my view of how I look at medical and health information.
